The 2003 John von Neumann Theory Prize was awarded to Arkadi Nemirovski and Michael J. Todd "in recognition of their seminal and profound contributions to continuous optimization."

The prize, presented by Committee Chair David Yao at the 2003 INFORMS Meeting in Atlanta, honors scholars who have made fundamental, sustained contributions to theory in operations research and the management sciences.
