HOUSTON _ Quarterback Chad Hutchinson will be one of five Cowboys spending part of the off-season in NFL Europe.
Coach Bill Parcells believes Hutchinson needs game experience to improve. He played sparingly in 2003 after losing the starting spot to Quincy Carter.
Parcells also considered sending third-stringer Tony Romo but decided it would benefit Romo more to work in the conditioning program and study under assistant head coach Sean Payton.
The Cowboys also will send safety Keith Davis, guard Dave Volk, kicker Jonathan Ruffin and running back Davy Ford.
