CALGARY, Alberta _ The Anaheim Mighty Ducks aren't ready to pronounce themselves done, despite their self-proclaimed now-or-never stretch having proved an abject failure just past its halfway point.
Sunday's 6-4 loss to the Calgary Flames at the Pengrowth Saddledome left the Ducks with only three points through three games of a five-game stretch leading into the NHL all-star break, a stretch the team deemed critical to its long-shot playoff hopes.
The stated goal had been eight of a possible 10 points, and even with victories Monday night in Edmonton and Wednesday vs. the visiting Carolina Hurricanes, the Ducks would have seven. ...
