KANSAS CITY, Mo. _ The limo's on the way. All the luggage is by the front door, and Ken Morrow is working out some last-minute details. He's got to make sure his son's got a ride to his hockey game and make sure the house-sitter has money for food. You know, normal domestic stuff.
In a few hours, he and his family will be in an airplane, headed to Los Angeles. His daughters Krysten and Brittany are making the trip, and they're excited about escaping Kansas City's cold weather.
The trip's not simply about sun, though. Morrow is going to California to meet up with his former teammates, members of the most famous hockey team in the world _ the 1980 United States Olympic squad. You remember them, right?
Sunday, they were to watch the Super Bowl together. On Monday, they'll go to the world premiere of "Miracle," the movie about them. They'll sit there and watch the kids that they used to be accomplish the impossible. Ken was 23 then, one of the oldest.
The men are grown up now. They've got families. They do normal, mundane things, like pay the house-sitter, or arrange car pools. One of them is an airline pilot. Another a dentist. They sell bonds, sporting goods and semi-trucks. They're bankers ...
