HOUSTON _ Many of us were expecting a yawner of a defensive struggle between teams with _ in honor of the state of Texas _ a lone star between them. New England quarterback Tom Brady seemed to be the cover boy almost by default.
In the end Sunday evening, Brady lived up to his weeklong hype, winning his second Super Bowl MVP at age 26.
Otherwise, nothing about Super Bowl XXXVIII was remotely predictable. The most starless matchup in the game's history produced the wildest, craziest and most entertaining game. Across the way from two-year-old Reliant Stadium rests the proud old Astrodome, once called the "eighth wonder of the world." Sunday night's game was the ninth.
