May 13--A group representing 10 counties and the city of Pittsburgh spent an hour yesterday lobbying Gov. Rendell for funding, presenting him with a list of 66 real estate development projects considered "priorities" for southwestern Pennsylvania.
The funding needs laid out by the so-called Southwestern Pennsylvania Growth Alliance totaled $267 million.
The requests, however, are dependent on the state Legislature's approval of a $500 million increase in the state's Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program and, after that, the governor's approval of individual …
