May 13--MACON, Ga.--The Summit Center at the shopping center at Bloomfield Road and Stacy Drive is to expand another 20,000 square feet, and two free-standing buildings are planned for upscale restaurants.

The developer, Baxter Evans & Co., received approval Monday from the Macon-Bibb County Planning & Zoning Commission to rezone the property from Planned Development Residential District and Single Family Residential District to Planned Development Commercial District.

The shopping center has a 30-foot buffer, and Baxter Evans told commissioners that additional plants …
