May 13--Don't expect Sunday liquor sales in Salina anytime soon.

The Salina City Commission voted at its previous meeting to ask city staff members to gather information about the issue so it could decide whether to consider allowing it here.

The five commission members heard a few minutes about the state of Sunday liquor sales in Kansas, then Commissioner Donnie Marrs moved to close the issue.

The motion was seconded, and the other four commissioners joined Marrs in putting an end to the matter.
