May 10--GROTON, Conn.--Members of the Metal Trades Council at Electric Boat would qualify for bonuses of hundreds of dollars if they exceed safety goals that are established in a new agreement between the company and the union.

"Safety is the No. 1 priority at Electric Boat, and this agreement reflects that," said Bob Nardone, vice president for human resources and administration.
