No one was happier than Cyd Charisse when "Chicago" became a box-office hit and won an Oscar for Best Picture in March.

Charisse has a special place in her heart for movie musicals. She was one of the genre's great dancers during the 1950s.

"I don't know if this means a revival of the musical or not, but I hope so," Charisse said during a recent telephone conversation. "I think the public is starved for something entertaining like `Chicago.'"
