Q: Our living room is 16 feet by 19 feet and opens directly into the dining room. We can't seem to get away from lining the furniture up around the walls. There is a sliding-glass door at one end and a fireplace at the end of an adjacent wall with the entertainment center next to it. The couch and rocking chair (with blank wall above) are on opposite wall. Furniture placement is a problem. I'd like it to be more centered, without cutting off the dining room. And I'd like to have a more dramatic effect with less clutter.
