ST. LOUIS _ If you ask Joe Felock what he does for a living, he'll likely say he's a crash-test dummy.
He's joking, but his answer isn't far from the truth.
Felock test-flies new Boeing F-15 Eagle and FA-18E/F fighter jets before they're delivered to military customers.
"I'm the first to find out if they work," Felock said in the pilots lounge at the company's Integrated Defense System business at Lambert Field. "I make sure every single component on the airplane works the way (the military) wants it to."
That is, everything except the ejection seat.
