BOSTON, MA-Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney on March 5 approved taking $17 million from the state's renewable energy trust fund to help reduce the state's budget deficit, according to the Boston Globe. The governor pledged he would offset the loss by proposing legislation that the state buy at least 10 million of "green power" each year--approximately 10% of the state's power usage--for the next 15 to 20 years.
