Many people may be surprised to learn luminaires that already have common T8 lamps and generic electronic ballasts can be retrofitted cost effectively. End users may find that a retrofit/relighting project would be more cost effective than a group relamping, even with energy-saving 28-30-watt (W) F32T8s already installed.
Likewise, specifying the optimum combination of T8 lamps and electronic ballasts in new construction or renovation project may offer energy savings over basic-grade lamps and ballasts.
