ST. LOUIS _ With the war in Iraq behind him and his campaign for re-election still ahead, President Bush traveled Wednesday to a Boeing aircraft factory to promote his tax-cut plan as a salve for America's sick economy and to trumpet U.S. military success.

Bush implored Congress to pass his massive tax-cut plan immediately, insisting that it would help stimulate the weak economy.

"Too many of our fellow Americans are looking for work, and that bothers me," Bush told about 1,000 military personnel and employees at the plant, where the F/A-18 Super Hornet jet fighter is made. "So I sent some suggestions up to the United States …
