Next to him was dad, Kirk, who costars as his on-screen father in the weepy comedy opening April 25. Nearby was his mother, Diana Douglas, who plays his on-screen mom. And just behind him was eldest son Cameron, 24, who portrays his son in the movie about three generations trying to get along despite their communication problems.
"Here we are with the whole family,'' a proud Michael said. ``I can't believe this.''
Michael, 58, and Kirk, 86, looked for years for a project to do together. They never expected to find one with a third generation that would provide a role for Cameron.
"And to watch my son begin what I hope will be a wonderful career is spectacular,'' Michael said.
In other Douglas news, Michael has launched an attack on some of Catherine Zeta-Jones' ex-boyfriends, branding them idiots. …
