Take "Sex and Lucia" (Palm Pictures, R and unrated editions). It's a beautifully crafted film from Spanish writer/director Julio Medem _ with some very adult material (translation: male nudity). The time-and-reality-juggling story is hard to sum up without giving everything away, but it involves a young woman (Paz Vega) who loses her writer boyfriend (Tristan Ulloa), flees to a peaceful island, meets a new couple, gradually learns how they're all tied together and what led to the boyfriend's tragedy.
