Mar. 20--It's war in Iraq but business as usual at American Airlines Inc.
No canceled flights, no changes in the schedule and, as of late Wednesday, no public comment on the start of hostilities.
It's not that officials at the Fort Worth-based carrier aren't concerned. They're facing a conflict that could devastate its revenue and hamstring its chances of avoiding bankruptcy.
A quick war, however, could have the opposite effect, restoring confidence in air travel, dramatically lowering oil prices and perhaps kick-starting the domestic economy, all of which would aid American.
