Mar. 20--GAMESTOP: GRAPEVINE, Texas--Video-game retailer GameStop Corp. boosted fourth-quarter earnings by more than two-thirds, thanks to expense reductions and the popularity of new titles such as Madden NFL 2003.
Profit in the three months ended Feb. 1 rose to $31.6 million, or 52 cents a share, from $18.8 million, or 47 cents, in the year-ago quarter. The results were in line with forecasts issued last month by the Grapevine-based company.
