Mar. 13--Residents of Houston County and other communities where explosive development has seriously overtaxed the community's ability to deal with the resulting consequences might want to take note of a recent Georgia Supreme Court decision.
Georgia's highest court recently upheld a lower court ruling that affirmed the legality of something called impact fees, which pass along some of the costs of the infrastructure improvements that are required to support real estate development projects to the people who are making money off of those projects.
