Mar. 12--Parents at Pine Ridge Middle School found it hard Tuesday evening to focus on their children's tutoring program.
Instead, they had questions about the letter sent home with their students Monday.
After all, they had just learned a day earlier that the state-funded after-school program at Pine Ridge will close today.
"We're very upset because this program has been a godsend," said Darlene Crider, whose 12-year-old daughter has been working on her math skills in the after-school program for about four months.
