ATLANTA, GA--A guideline that describes how to reliably measure energy savings resulting from building energy management projects has been published by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).

ASHRAE Guideline 14-2002, Measurement of Energy and Demand Savings, meets the need for a standardized set of energy and demand savings calculation procedures, according to committee chair George Reeves. "It provides guidance on minimum acceptable levels of performance in determining energy and demand savings in commercial transactions," Reeves said.
