The State of Kerala in India has established a hologram company to serve its own needs for embossed authentication holograms, but also with the facilty to produce display holograms. Established under the leadership of Dr P.T. Ajith Kumar and funded by the State Beverage Corporation, Kerala Holography is already supplying 20 million holograms monthly for use as security labels, mainly to the Beverage Corp. These are produced on a narrow-web hard embossing machine made locally.
