T.S. "Ted" Spangenberg Jr., district manager for Gulf Power Co./Panama City, has been named to the Panama City advisory board of directors of AmSouth Bank.

Rick Dye, president of AmSouth in Panama City, announced Spangenberg's selection.

Spangenberg has more than 25 years of experience in the utility industry.

He joined Southern Power, a division of Gulf Power in 1976, and served in numerous high-level positions; he was appointed to his present position in 2000.
