Byline: Bob Foltman
NASHVILLE, Tenn. _ It's one thing to have the breaks go against you. It's quite another to put yourself in the situation to let that happen.
Saturday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Nashville Predators will go into that hybrid category of "OTL," but for all intents and purposes, it was the sixth straight loss for the Blackhawks and their ninth in the last 10 games.
"We got a big point, a very important point for us," captain Alex Zhamnov said.
"Precious," was the way coach Brian Sutter described it.
In reality, the point did little for the Hawks' postseason hopes as Senior Vice President Bob Pulford looked on.
While the Hawks got one point, the teams ahead of them were getting two points.
