ST. LOUIS _ It has been a while since the Wild ran headfirst into a goaltending brick wall like they did Saturday night.

Patrick Roy of Colorado has given them a few migraines over the past three seasons, and Edmonton's Tommy Salo typically has been a real pain.

But Curtis Sanford?

Meet the latest netminding savior for the St. Louis Blues. Sanford, making his second start this week since being called up from the minors, turned in a brilliant second night on the job, stifling the Wild, 2-0, in front of 19,645 Mardis Gras-sauced fans at Savvis Center.
