LAS VEGAS _ Speedway Motorsports Inc. chairman Bruton Smith thinks NASCAR should have canceled last week's Busch series race at North Carolina Speedway instead of postponing it until Monday.
"I think everybody would have been better off had they sat down with the car owners and maybe written some checks and canceled the race and let them come to Las Vegas a little earlier," Smith said. "Other than the winner of the race, I don't think anybody won."
