Feb. 24--In 1968, two assistant golf professionals took control of the small pro shop at Fort Walton Beach Golf Club.

Thirty five years later, the two golf pros -- who also happen to be brothers -- own the largest privately held golf retail operation in the world.

Edwin and Ronnie Watts of Edwin Watts Golf fame currently have 49 retail stores in 10 states. From humble beginnings, their stores and mail-order business now sell the top names in golf gear, brands like Ping, Calloway, Ben Hogan and Nike, to enthusiasts worldwide.
