MIAMI _ Tired of all this negativity surrounding the Marlins, I am thrilled to report the team drew 62,076 on Wednesday night for a 9-7 loss to the Montreal Expos.

Granted, that was the number of empty seats, technically. Still, they were there. Stayed until the end, too. Empty or filled, rain or not, the Marlins have some of the best, most loyal seats in all of baseball. Whose seats are more orange? Or cleaner?

We are The (Empty) Seat of Baseball!

Naysayers complain about poor Marlins attendance? I say why spoil such a panorama of pristine plastic with people.

You want crowds? Go to a mall. Hit the beach.
