America West cuts restrictions.(The Dallas Morning News)
In one bold move, America West has positioned itself as America's new low-fare airline by cutting no-advance-purchase fares dramatically, removing Saturday-night-stay restrictions and shortening the advance-purchase period required for some of its least expensive fares. The stunning initiative will put smiles on the faces of business and leisure travelers and send the majors to the drawing board to try to figure how they can possibly respond.
