OAKLAND, Calif. _ All spring, the refrain from outfielder David Justice had been the same. He was thisclose to finding his swing. Thisclose to centering a pitch. Thisclose to driving it.
Apparently, he was onto something.
For on Monday night, Justice found his swing. He centered a pitch. And he drove it.
Hard.
In doing so, he ensured that Opening Night would be a successful one for the A's. The final was 8-3 over the Texas Rangers in front of 43,908 at Network Associates Coliseum in a game that had just about everything the A's usually have when they win.
