Final Four capsules
Oklahoma (31-4) vs. Indiana (24-11)
TIME: 6:07 p.m. EST
HOW INDIANA GOT HERE: Won South Regional_beat Utah 75-56, beat UNC-Wilmington 76-67, beat Duke 74-73 and beat Kent State 81-69.
HOW OKLAHOMA GOT HERE: Won West Regional_beat Illinois-Chicago 71-63, beat Xavier 78-65, beat Arizona 88-67 and beat Missouri 81-75.
PLAYERS TO WATCH: Oklahoma junior G Hollis Price has been described by OU Coach Kelvin Sampson as his team's "heartbeat." Price's quickness offensively and defensively is going to pose problems for IU, which doesn't have great athletes in its backcourt. Price is a good outside shooter and an effective penetrator. . . . IU sophomore F Jared Jeffries will be the most talented player on the court, and he must have a big day if the Hoosiers are to win. His quickness and outside touch (he has range to 15 feet) pose all sorts of problems for opposing big men. To make matters worse for OU, its big men are foul-prone. If IU's guards can get some open looks from the outside against OU's tough perimeter defense, Jeffries could be in line for a monster game. When he scores 20, IU is 9-1 this season.
THE "X" FACTOR: How healthy is Indiana starting PG Tom Coverdale? He sustained a badly sprained ankle in the win over Kent State, and his status won't be determined until game time. If he can't go, IU can't win. And even if he plays, how effective will he be? Coverdale is the Hoosiers' second-leading scorer and a good outside shooter. His backup is true freshman Donald Perry, a poor shooter who has more turnovers than assists.
