BILOXI, Miss. _ The mystery around Arkansas basketball coach Nolan Richardson continued to deepen Thursday, one day after the veteran coach tried to implement some damage control on a road trip to Mississippi State.

Richardson and University of Arkansas officials have sent out mixed signals for the last three days, after Richardson's ridiculous, race-baiting tirade to Arkansas media members who had expected nothing more than a briefing on Razorbacks basketball on Monday.

Richardson's team is struggling through a 13-14 season, but no one in their right mind would question what Richardson has done in his 17 years at Arkansas. On the court, at least.
