TAMPA, Fla. _ In a dizzying game that careened toward greatness in the final quarter, South Carolina nipped Ohio State, 31-28, on a last-play field goal Tuesday in the Outback Bowl.
After leading 28-0 late in the third quarter, South Carolina needed Daniel Weaver's 42-yard field goal to win. Ohio State scored 28 consecutive points _ a touchdown on the final play of the third quarter and then 21 more in the fourth _ to swing the momentum completely to the Buckeyes.
