TAMPA, FLA. _ Ohio State sophomore wide receiver Michael Jenkins sat on the bench and couldn't bear to look as South Carolina kicker Daniel Weaver lined up for a game-winning 42-yard field-goal attempt.
Jenkins didn't see the ball drop over the right corner of the crossbar with perhaps a foot to spare as time expired to give the Gamecocks a 31-28 victory Tuesday in the Outback Bowl.
"It was crazy," OSU junior free safety Donnie Nickey said. "It went from being the most embarrassing game I ever played in to the most exciting. It was a whole roller-coaster ride."
Junior tight end Darnell Sanders said, "That game was kind of a classic."
