TAMPA, FLA. _ When Steve Bellisari threw an interception with 49 seconds to go, John Cooper was probably sitting in front of his television saying, "I told you so."
The former Ohio State coach, who lost his job a year ago, used to talk frequently about how Bellisari would tease him. The quarterback would play so well that Cooper would fall in love with him again, then he'd make a mistake to cost the Buckeyes a game.
So it seemed fitting Tuesday that Bellisari closed out his career in exactly the same fashion. He went from hero to goat in a span of 23 seconds as Ohio State lost to South Carolina, 31-28, in the Outback Bowl at Raymond James Stadium.
