ORLANDO _ At the end of the Citrus Bowl, there was one question about Michigan's defense.
Where did it go?
The Wolverines gave up 45 points, 503 yards and seven yards per play to Tennessee. This Michigan team was built on defense, and the defense didn't hold up.
"The thing that surprises me the most looking at that game is defensively I felt we would do a much better job containing the Tennessee offense," U-M coach Lloyd Carr said. "We just gave up too many big plays today."
