CLEVELAND _ Bob Sura worked out regularly last summer at Gund Arena. He received pointers from Cavaliers strength and conditioning coach Stan Kellers. He joked around with Cavs center Zydrunas Ilgauskas.
Wait a minute. Is this a time warp? Didn't the Cavs trade Sura to Golden State in June of 2000.
Yes, they did. But during the off-seasons, it's as if Sura never left. He lives at his home in Westlake. He works out at Gund with Cavs players.
"For me, it doesn't matter what kind of jersey he wears," Ilgauskas said of their off-season work. "He's still a good friend. But I'm sure he wants to come in here and stick it to us."
