EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. _ The Devils' workshop no longer is the temple of doom for the Colorado Avalanche after Thursday night's 3-1 victory in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup finals that put them two games away from winning the series.
Colorado went into the contest 0-4-2 in the New Jersey Devils' rink since moving to Denver from Quebec in 1995
The franchise's last previous conquest in Continental Airlines Arena came on Dec. 9, 1993 when the Nordiques defeated the Devils 3-2. The Nordiques lost their next two games in New Jersey before moving to Colorado.
