The GlucoWatch Biographer, an automated, noninvasive, glucose monitoring device that's worn like a wristwatch, will be available for sale in the United States within the next several months, said Michael Mitchell of Cygnus Inc., the Redwood City, Calif., company that developed it.

The current version of the GlucoWatch monitors a patient's glucose levels as often as every 20 minutes for up to 12 hours.
