Arizona hopes to win title for Bobbi Olson.(The Seattle Times)
MINNEAPOLIS _ They would have talked about this game all night. They would have reveled in this victory at dinner and in their hotel room.
Lute Olson would have shared every thought about this game as he shared everything in his life with her.
You imagine them back at the hotel sharing the best and the worst of this wondrous 80-61 victory over Michigan State.
Bobbi and Lute Olson is a love story as pure as they come.
They met in high school, singing in the same choir, married in high school and stayed together like a thumb and forefinger for 47 years.
They've been together since that first game Lute, 65, coached at a Minnesota high school in 1957 three hours from the Metrodome. He made $3,200 that year.
She watched almost every game thereafter, home and away. She had the first seat on the team bus.
