There has not been a woman competing on a regular basis in NASCAR's big leagues in a dozen years and not one who has tried to be a regular in two decades.
Then again, there hasn't been one like Shawna Robinson in quite a while, either.
"I've been doing this for many years," Robinson said Wednesday in announcing her plans to run on the Winston Cup circuit.
