CHICAGO _ Goaltenders Steve Passmore and Robbie Tallas switched places Thursday.

Passmore went to 1901 W. Madison St. to rejoin the Blackhawks and serve as their backup goalie in Thursday night's United Center game with the Los Angeles Kings.

Tallas moved to Rosemont's Allstate Arena to begin work for the Wolves, starting with Saturday night's International Hockey League game against Houston.

"It's a very pleasant surprise," said Passmore, who was reacquired Wednesday by the Hawks from Los Angeles for an eighth-round pick in this summer's draft. "I wanted to stay here in the first place."
