Moen's new PureTouch AquaSuite water filter comes with an easy-to-install, throwaway filter cartridge that mounts under the sink and will get everything out of the water except fluoride.

What's more, the new system comes with an easily seen filter-life indicator at the water source and under the sink so there's no need to guess when it's time to change the filter. The indicator will flash amber when there's less than 10 percent of the filter left before it needs to be changed, then red when less than 5 percent is left.

This is a carbon-block filter made by Culligan. The approximate life of the filter is six months or 750 gallons.

Each system comes with two spout options: a high arc for kitchen use and a low one for the bath sink. It is adaptable for left- or right-hand use.
