Feb. 9--GRANITE CITY, Ill.--St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Granite City is assuring patients that although the hospital has eliminated home health care programs, it will continue to assist each client until he or she finds a new provider.
On Wednesday, administrators announced they would discontinue the hospital's home health services as well as outpatient chemotherapy at patients' homes because of ongoing reductions in reimbursement and increased regulations from Medicare and private insurers.
