CALGARY, Alberta_Blackhawks coach Alpo Suhonen certainly wasn't getting any sympathy from his Calgary counterpart, Don Hay, when his injury-depleted team faced off against the Flames.
Five Flames sat out Thursday night's game and four of them are recovering from concussions_defensemen Brad Werenka and Toni Lydman and centers Daniel Tkaczuk and Jason Wiemer.
Defenseman Igor Kravchuk is recovering from a knee injury.
All told the Flames have lost 189 man-games to injury and illness this season versus the Hawks' 79.
The Hawks' toll, however, will continue to mount this month with defensemen Jaroslav Spacek (shoulder) and Boris Mironov (wrist) and center Alex Zhamnov (larynx) sidelined indefinitely.
