SEATTLE_As Bulls coach Tim Floyd sat courtside and alone with his thoughts long before Thursday's tipoff, seemingly out of nowhere, Starbucks Chairman Howard Schultz approached him.
The two exchanged pleasantries, from which Floyd learned Schultz, who heads a group of investors that bought the Sonics for $200 million, has a son named Jordan.
Unfortunately for Floyd, Schultz offered no financial advice. Unfortunately for the Bulls, no Jordan-like performances followed.
The Bulls tied a 24-seasons-old franchise record with their 13th consecutive loss, falling to the Sonics 97-91 at KeyArena. The Bulls must win Saturday in Vancouver to avoid establishing a record for futility.
