Jan. 17--FORT WORTH, Texas--The local commercial real estate market will continue to do well this year, but it won't see the explosive growth that it has experienced since the mid-'90s.
That's the outlook of market experts who spoke Tuesday to more than 200 industry professionals attending the sixth annual Tarrant County Real Estate Forecast at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden.
Most of the growth in Tarrant County will come in retail development, the experts said.
"I'm not going to go out on a limb," said Nick Ibarra, senior vice president of the retail division at NAI/Stoneleigh Huff Brous McDowell in Fort Worth. "There will be a slowdown in retail development."
