JACKSONVILLE, Fla. _ He's still a kid, you know.
Despite those muscles stretching out that Virginia Tech uniform. Despite that arm that reminds some NFL scouts of Brett Favre. Despite all the money he could be making in a few months, which is enough to buy a small college, actually, Michael Vick still is just a kid.
He's 20 going on No. 1, and so now everybody is taking turns telling him what to do.
He's thinking, too, and it's got him all confused.
That's why weeks after saying he definitely was staying for his junior season, he came down to the Gator Bowl and said he wasn't so definite anymore. If he's truly a No. 1 overall pick in the NFL draft, he said, then maybe it would behoove him to go.
And maybe that's why, because of the youth, that is, Vick played the Gator Bowl the way he did Monday, like he was playing flag football and couldn't be touched. He looked so elegant and so rock-hard all at once.
He danced. He threw those left-handed passes. He finished with 205 yards and a touchdown passing and he ran for another touchdown.
