DETROIT _ The good news for the Pistons is that they have only three road games in February.
The bad news is that January's schedule is so tough, February might not help them make the playoffs.
The Pistons have 15 games this month, nine on the road and six at home.
Four of the nine road games are against teams under .500, but it's usually tougher to beat a team, good or bad, on the road.
The Pistons found that out New Year's Eve when they suffered an embarrassing 110-96 loss at Washington, a team that had won just five of its first 30 games.
Carrying a three-game losing streak is not how the Pistons wanted to start a tough month.
Of the six home games this month, five are against teams with records better than .500, and the sixth, Toronto, is 15-15 with the exciting Vince Carter to contend with.
